Mt Hakuba Backpackers Hostel offers cheap, clean and comfortable accommodation. All rooms have fresh linen and duna, and towels are
available at a small charge.The hostel also has a fully equipped laundry and a guest kitchen. We also have the latest rental gear including
skis, snowboards, boots and wear for those of you that don't have your own. Check out our ski rental page. Mt Hakuba Backpackers also
has a chill out sofa area as well as a free book exchange and free netflix and free rental DVD's for those rainy days when you don't feel
like doing anything. Our hostel has free HIGH SPEED broadband wifii. With facilities like this who needs a hotel!
We have a bar (open 15th December-28th February that rocks (guest comment) and happy hour with 400 yen drinks from 5-6pm, We also have
the yummiest bar meals all just 800yen. You might want to watch some of the extreme snowboarding videos or perhaps just trade stories about
the days snow heroics with other guests. There are plenty other bars nearby that come alive deep in the night but in the early evening ours is the
one be at. Please note that since we are a licensed premises there is no BYO alcohol. A free daily breafkast is served at the backpackers
(Coffee/tea, orange juice, fruit, toast and cereal).
The street scenery around the hostel is like something from another planet for a lot of people. Buildings with thick slabs of snow on their
roofs, icicles hanging off the eaves that sometimes reach the ground and wherever you look a blanket of white. On a lazy day it is really fun
to get on some warm clothes and walk around the Echoland district admiring the snow-scape and the building architechture.
